Message from the Director
The main function
of this CounterAct Research Center of Excellence is to integrate the
efforts of investigators from the University of Alabama at Birmingham,
Yale University, and Southern Research Institute to identify and test
new treatment capable of reversing Cl2 induced injury to lung
epithelia and pulmonary and systemic vasculatures in both healthy and
individuals with pre-existing lung diseases.
